Details : Uttar Pradesh Technical University State Entrance Examination(UPTU SEE) is an entrance examination for admission in a number of technical courses like engineering, management, fashion & design, architecture, pharmacy, hotel management, Computer Applications and architecture in private unaided/government aided colleges in Uttar Pradesh affiliated to Uttar Pradesh Technical University. UPTU was established in the year 2000 by government of Uttar Pradesh and is one of the largest technical universities in India.

There are separate entrance examinations for different fields. For B.Tech there is a common entrance exam consisting of questions from Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics. A large number of students from across the state of Uttar Pradesh appear for UPTU SEE Engineering entrance every year for admission to number of engineering colleges in Uttar Pradesh.

Eligibility Criteria:

A candidate should have cleared class 12th exams with Physics and Mathematics and any one of the following subjects:Chemistry, Bio-Technology, Computer Science or Biology.

Application Forms for UPTU SEE:

The forms for UPTU SEE will be available from all Head Post Offices of Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, Nainital and Dehradun.The form can also be obtained by post from UPTU by sending a Demand Draft along with the request for form.

Important Dates(Tentative):

• Availability of Application Form:                                        January 3rd week-March 1st week, 2010
• Last Date for request of form by post:                               February 3rd week, 2010
• Last Date of Submission of completed application form: March 2nd week, 2010
• Date of UPTU Examination:                                              April 3rd week, 2010

Pattern of Examination:

There will be 2 papers for B.Tech entrance:
Paper 1: Physics & Chemistry-150 minutes & 75 questions each from Physics & Chemistry
Paper 2: Mathematics-90 minutes & 90 questions
There will be no negative marking.
